Our daytime staff members hold current St John Ambulance Senior First Aid certificates (or equivalent).
We use only 10+mm dynamic or semi-dynamic ropes and height-adjustable floor-mounted belay anchors on all top-rope climbs; all top-ropes run over ‘slow-go’ pulleys. Rockface uses only GriGri belay devices so no friction is transferred to the belayer’s hands. For added safety, we have impact-absorbing professional gymnastic landing surfaces under our top-rope climbs.
Rockface maintains a 20-million dollar public liability insurance policy (PDF Certificate of Currency available on request). In accordance with Education Department requirements, we no longer require signed waivers for school students. Need More Information?
